Afghanistan, Feb. 15 -- Gunmen attacked three villages in northwestern Nigeria, killing at least 32 people, kidnapping residents, and burning homes during coordinated overnight assaults.
Armed attackers stormed three villages, killing at least 32 residents, with reports indicating some victims were shot while others were killed by throat-slitting.
Police said several villagers were also abducted during the assault, while attackers set houses and community property on fire, leaving widespread destruction behind.
Witnesses told Agence France-Presse that nearly all homes in the targeted communities were burned and at least four women were kidnapped.
