Afghanistan, June 24 -- Ghana held England to a 0-0 draw in a crucial Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, earning a valuable point in the race for a place in the knockout stage and frustrating one of the tournament's pre-competition favorites.

Despite enjoying most of the possession and creating the better chances, England were unable to break through Ghana's disciplined defense. The African side remained organized throughout the match and successfully protected their goal during a tense final period.
