Afghanistan, Feb. 12 -- German authorities transferred 47 Afghan nationals from Pakistan to Berlin after completing migration procedures under a previously approved humanitarian admission program this week.

German officials confirmed that the group of Afghan citizens, who had been staying in Pakistan, arrived in Germany after their relocation process was finalized.

According to Germany's Interior Ministry, the transfer was conducted under an admission mechanism previously created to receive certain Afghan nationals facing risk.

Thousands of Afghans relocated to Pakistan after the Taliban takeover in 2021 while awaiting resettlement decisions from European countries and other international partners.
