Afghanistan, Aug. 19 -- Germany has urged Pakistan to allow the return of Afghan refugees deported under Berlin's resettlement program, stressing their right to continue visa processing and protection.

Germany's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that more than 200 Afghans, previously accepted under its refugee program, have been deported by Pakistan back to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

On Monday, August 18, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Joseph Hintersir urged Islamabad to allow those deported to return to Pakistan so they may continue the process of receiving German visas.

Hintersir explained that Pakistani police had detained around 450 Afghans connected to Germany's relocation program. Of these, 211 have already been sent back to Afgha...
