Afghanistan, June 20 -- France has called on the United States to increase pressure on Israel to halt its military operations in Lebanon, arguing that continued fighting risks undermining broader regional de-escalation efforts following the recent U.S.-Iran agreement.
Speaking to France Info on Friday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said Paris continues to push for an international conference aimed at mobilizing support for the Lebanese armed forces and strengthening stability in the country.
