Afghanistan, April 11 -- The European Union has strongly condemned Israel's decision to establish more than 30 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, calling the move illegal under international law and a major setback to peace efforts.
In a statement on Friday, the EU's foreign policy arm said such unilateral actions, including expansion in East Jerusalem undermine prospects for a negotiated settlement and must be reversed immediately.
The bloc warned that continued settlement expansion threatens the viability of a future Palestine alongside Israel, emphasizing that the two-state solution remains the only path to lasting regional stability.
