Afghanistan, June 2 -- European Union member states have agreed on new migration rules that would allow rejected asylum seekers and other migrants ordered to leave the bloc to be transferred to return centres in third countries, marking another step in the EU's push to tighten migration controls.
The agreement, reported by Reuters, forms part of broader efforts by European governments to reduce irregular migration amid growing political pressure from right-wing parties across the continent.
