Afghanistan, July 5 -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif agreed on Saturday to deepen cooperation in defense, trade and strategic sectors following talks in Istanbul, as the two countries seek to strengthen their longstanding bilateral partnership.

In a statement posted on X after the meeting, Erdogan said the leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments and international issues.
