Afghanistan, Oct. 4 -- Munich Airport was closed for the second time in 24 hours on Friday night after pilots reported spotting suspicious drones in the area, German media reported.
According to Reuters, a pilot on a flight bound for London informed passengers that unidentified drones were again seen over the Bavarian capital, prompting the suspension of air traffic. He said it was unclear when flights would resume.
A police spokesperson confirmed that both runways were shut but did not provide details on the cause of the disruption. Another pilot said police helicopters were patrolling the skies to locate the suspected drones.
