Afghanistan, March 1 -- Iranian media report that the number of people killed in an attack on a girls' school in Minab district of Hormozgan province has risen to 148. Officials say the toll increased sharply as rescue teams continued recovery operations.

The state news agency IRNA, citing the Minab prosecutor, said at least 95 people were also wounded in the attack. Many of the injured are reportedly in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could rise further.
