Afghanistan, July 6 -- The death toll from the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela last week has risen to 3,342, the country's Information Ministry said on Monday, as rescue operations continued and international assistance expanded to support recovery efforts.

According to the ministry, search-and-rescue teams remained deployed across the worst-affected areas, while emergency workers continued searching collapsed buildings for survivors. Authorities cautioned that the death toll could rise further as recovery and damage assessment efforts continue.
