Afghanistan, Sept. 15 -- China warned on Monday that fearmongering, confrontation and geopolitical rivalry over artificial intelligence could undermine global efforts to establish international rules for the technology, pushing back against growing U.S. claims that China's AI development poses a threat to global security.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said the world needs an open, inclusive and cooperative approach to AI governance that serves "the good of all humanity," rejecting what Beijing described as attempts to frame AI as a tool of strategic confrontation.
