Afghanistan, May 13 -- China's special envoy for Afghanistan said Kabul officials and Pakistan are prepared to work together to support regional peace and stability following talks held under the China-backed Urumqi process.
Yue Xiaoyong, China's special representative for Afghanistan, said on Wednesday he had held several meetings in recent days with acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. Writing on X, Yue said both sides gave a positive assessment of the Urumqi dialogue process and expressed readiness for broader cooperation on security and economic issues.
"Both sides presented a positive evaluation of the Urumqi process and are ready for joint cooperation for peace, security and mutual development," Yue wrote.
