Afghanistan, Sept. 23 -- China has launched one of the world's first large-scale smart factories where humanoid robots help manufacture and assemble other humanoid robots, marking a major step in the country's drive to automate advanced manufacturing and expand its artificial intelligence industry.
The new facility in Liuzhou, in southern China's Guangxi region, is operated through a partnership between Chinese robotics company UBTech Robotics and Germany's Siemens. Company officials say the factory has an annual production capacity of 10,000 humanoid robots and uses AI-powered automation throughout the manufacturing process.
