Afghanistan, May 20 -- China confirmed Wednesday that it reached an agreement with the United States to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft during last week's meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.
According to the BBC, China's Ministry of Commerce said the agreement also includes US supplies of aircraft parts and aviation components for Chinese carriers.
Trump had earlier announced the deal following his visit to China, describing it as part of broader efforts to improve economic and trade relations between Washington and Beijing.
China's commerce ministry added that both sides are also seeking to extend a tariff truce first agreed in October and are discussing reductions on tariffs affecting goods worth more than $30 billion.
