Afghanistan, July 2 -- The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it convened a regional security dialogue in Bahrain with senior military officials from 12 countries, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to protecting freedom of navigation and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a statement posted by CENTCOM on X on Wednesday, senior military representatives from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and several other regional partners took part in the discussions. The meeting focused on regional security cooperation and maritime stability in one of the world's most strategically important waterways.
