Afghanistan, March 11 -- Canadian police said Tuesday that a shooting at the US Consulate in Toronto is being treated as a "national security incident," and two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.
According to police reports, several shots were fired toward the consulate building at around 4:30 a.m. Authorities said two men stepped out of a vehicle, fired multiple rounds with a handgun at the building, and then fled the scene.
Police later detained two individuals believed to be linked to the incident. Officials said no one was injured during the attack, and the heavily reinforced consulate building prevented any significant damage.
