Afghanistan, June 28 -- The British government has announced plans to introduce new safe and legal pathways for eligible refugees while simultaneously tightening immigration rules to speed up the removal of people staying in the country illegally.
The UK Home Office said the new framework would allow community groups, universities and businesses to sponsor refugees by providing financial and practical support, creating additional legal routes for people in need of international protection.
