Afghanistan, July 9 -- Pakistani authorities recovered the bodies of 21 abducted police officers in the southwestern province of Balochistan on Thursday, raising the death toll from a deadly attack on a military convoy to at least 30 as security forces intensified operations across the region.
Officials said the officers' bodies were found in the Mangi Dam area of Ziarat District with gunshot wounds before being transferred to the Civil Hospital in Quetta. Authorities have not publicly identified those responsible for the killings, and no group had claimed responsibility at the time of publication.
