Afghanistan, May 29 -- Benjamin Netanyahu said rising instability around the Strait of Hormuz could accelerate a global shift toward alternative energy and trade routes, adding that Israel could become part of a transportation corridor linking the Gulf region to the Mediterranean.

According to a report published Friday by Anadolu Agency, Netanyahu made the remarks during a seminar held in the Jordan Valley as regional tensions and concerns over maritime security continued to grow.
