Afghanistan, May 9 -- Bahrain said it arrested 41 people accused of links to Iran's Revolutionary Guards amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing security concerns.

Bahrain said on Saturday that authorities had arrested 41 people accused of links to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), amid heightened regional tensions following the conflict between Tehran and Washington.

According to Reuters, Bahraini security agencies identified and detained the suspects during security operations targeting alleged networks connected to Iran.

Authorities said some of those arrested were also accused of expressing support for Iranian attacks carried out during the recent confrontation between Iran and the United States.
