Afghanistan, Aug. 21 -- Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 has emerged as the stronger performer in its first week at the box office, earning an estimated $16.89 million worldwide, according to figures cited by Sacnilk.
The film collected approximately $11.86 million net in India and $14.14 million gross, while its overseas gross stood at about $2.75 million. On its seventh day, Awarapan 2 earned roughly $627,000 net in India across 10,832 shows.
By comparison, Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947 collected around $3.51 million net in India and $4.17 million gross during its first week. Its overseas gross was approximately $810,600, taking its worldwide total to about $4.98 million.
