Afghanistan, May 10 -- Afghanistan's national under-20 football team is set to face Turkmenistan in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) U-20 Championship in Tajikistan this week.

The match will be played on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Kabul time in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, where the regional tournament officially began on Sunday.

Afghanistan will also play Uzbekistan and host nation Tajikistan later this week as part of the group-stage fixtures.

The Afghanistan squad departed Kabul on Saturday afternoon for Tajikistan to participate in the competition, which brings together youth national teams from across Central Asia.
