Afghanistan, March 24 -- Around 10,000 containers carrying Afghanistan transit goods have been stranded at Jebel Ali Port due to escalating tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, traders said.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said ships carrying Afghan goods remain stuck at the port and nearby waters, leaving cargo in limbo and causing heavy financial losses for businesses.
Khan Jan Alokozai, an adviser to the chamber, told Radio Free Europe on Monday (March 23) that more than 2,000 of these containers have been transported to Afghanistan, but thousands remain stranded.
