Afghanistan, Aug. 11 -- Afghanistan secured a place at the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup after defeating Ireland by three wickets in the third ODI in Belfast on Monday.
Ireland were bowled out for 206 in 46.3 overs after Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field. Rashid Khan and Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar led the Afghanistan attack with three wickets each.
Afghanistan reached the target of 207 in 44.5 overs, losing seven wickets. Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored with 71, while Rashid Khan remained unbeaten on 37 to steer Afghanistan through a tense chase.
The victory gave Afghanistan an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series. The first ODI was abandoned without a ball being bowled, while Afghanistan won the second match by 92 runs....
