Afghanistan, June 20 -- The head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Afghanistan has warned that Afghan women and girls fear being forgotten by the international community as global attention shifts to other conflicts and crises.

Mia Park told Sky News that the greatest concern she hears from Afghan women and girls is not only the restrictions they face, but the fear that the world will stop paying attention to their situation.

"Whenever I meet Afghan women and girls, their biggest fear is being forgotten," Park said, stressing the importance of continued international engagement and support for vulnerable communities across Afghanistan.
