Afghanistan, Aug. 10 -- The families of Afghan journalist Sayed Qasim Hashemi and filmmaker Hamed Ehsas say the two men have been missing in Islamabad, Pakistan, for more than a month after leaving their home together.

The families reported that Hashemi and Ehsas, who are friends, left their home on July 4 to buy a camera lens and have not been heard from since. Their relatives said they have repeatedly contacted Pakistani police and judicial authorities but have received no clear information about their whereabouts.

The wife of Hamed Ehsas said the two men left together to purchase the camera equipment. She said efforts to locate them through Pakistani authorities had so far failed to establish where they were.
