Afghanistan, Aug. 20 -- A road accident on the Herat-Islam Qala highway killed 76 returning migrants from Iran, including children, after their vehicle collided with a truck and motorcycle.

A deadly traffic accident in Herat province has left at least 76 people dead, making it one of the most catastrophic road incidents in Afghanistan in recent years.

The crash occurred on the Herat ring road in Guzara district, when a passenger vehicle carrying returning migrants from Iran collided with a cargo truck and a motorcycle. The impact triggered a massive fire that engulfed the vehicle.
