Afghanistan, March 13 -- At least seven Pakistani security personnel were killed after a roadside bomb struck a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, according to local officials.

A local police spokesperson confirmed that six officers died immediately after the explosion, while another officer who was injured later died in hospital due to severe wounds sustained in the blast.

Officials said the attack occurred while police officers were conducting a routine patrol in the area. The vehicle was reportedly hit by an improvised explosive device planted along the roadside.
