The Pakistan Army has confirmed that 35 militants belonging to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in a series of security operations near the Afghanistan border.
Military sources reported that between September 10 and 13, at least 12 Pakistani soldiers also lost their lives in clashes with the insurgents.
In Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22 militants were killed during the first operation, while a separate offensive in South Waziristan left 13 more dead.
