Fifteen international UN employees have been confined inside the organization's compound in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, after Houthi forces entered the site on Saturday, a UN spokesperson said.
Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for UN Secretary-General, said the staff members have been permitted to move within the compound and remain in contact with their families and UN offices. "We hope they will be able to leave the compound soon," he told reporters in New York.
