Afghanistan, June 10 -- At least 12 people were killed and nine others injured after gunmen opened fire at an informal settlement east of Johannesburg, South African police said on Wednesday.
Reuters reported on Wednesday that the attack took place on Tuesday evening at the Jumpers informal settlement in Cleveland, where armed assailants entered the area from two directions and opened fire at multiple locations before fleeing.
Police said they have launched a manhunt for more than 10 suspects believed to have carried out the attack. According to investigators, the gunmen arrived in a white Toyota Quantum vehicle and escaped in the same vehicle after the shooting.
