Srinagar, April 17 -- The Division of Wildlife Sciences at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir organised a one-day workshop on "Application of Molecular Genetics in Wildlife Conservation" at the Faculty of Forestry, Benhama on Friday.

The workshop was held under the Scientific Social Responsibility activity of an ANRF-sponsored research project on Asiatic Black Bears. It aimed to build awareness among youth and highlight the role of molecular genetics in understanding and managing wildlife populations.

Researchers, scientists, academicians, wildlife managers and students from SKUAST-K and other institutions participated in the programme.
