Srinagar, March 4 -- The People's Democratic Party (PDP) legislator from Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, on Wednesday urged the administration to ensure the immediate release of detained youths and the withdrawal of First Information Reports (FIRs) registered against mourners.

Raising the issue during a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the MLA, who also serves as the head of the J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, submitted a detailed report regarding the congregational programmes currently underway across the Union Territory.
