Jammu, Dec. 27 -- Raja Zaid Shopian, Dec 27 (KNS): The Wildlife Department, in coordination with Shopian Police, on Saturday successfully tranquilised a leopard in Pinjoora village of Shopian district following a day-long search and rescue operation.
Officials said the leopard was first sighted by local residents early in the morning, triggering panic in the area. Upon receiving the information, teams from the Wildlife Department rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the animal. Shopian Police later joined the operation to assist with crowd control and ensure public safety.
