Demonstrators pelted stones, set a police vehicle on fire, and attacked the local BJP office, prompting authorities to impose restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

Security forces, including police and paramilitary personnel, deployed in large numbers, used tear gas and lathi charges to control the situation.
