Jammu, Oct. 27 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that certain leaders, including Sajad Lone, indirectly helped the BJP during the Rajya Sabha elections by staying silent or abstaining from voting. He said the people of Andhwara did not elect representatives to remain inactive or to divide their loyalty.
Abdullah said the BJP was not ready to take part in the elections. He questioned the compulsion of some leaders to support the BJP and said that if they truly wanted to prevent match-fixing, they should have voted. He said the day the election was announced, he had stated that those who did not participate were effectively helping the BJP.
