Srinagar, April 11 -- Suneem Khan on Saturday welcomed the launch of the "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan," saying the initiative reflects a firm resolve to tackle the drug menace in the Union Territory.

In a statement, Khan said the measures announced by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, including action against drug smugglers and seizure of their assets, mark a strong intervention against the spread of narcotics.

He said the campaign, backed by strict enforcement steps such as cancellation of passports and freezing of bank accounts of those involved in drug trafficking, sends a clear message against activities harming society.
