Budgam, April 12 -- Residents of Sheikhpora Pandit Colony in central Kashmir's Budgam district are living under constant fear of stray dog attacks, locals claimed on Sunday, demanding immediate intervention by the administration.
Several fresh attacks have occurred in the past few days, leaving over a dozen persons injured in one recent incident alone, locals claimed, adding that children and the elderly remain the most vulnerable.
"We cannot send children to school or allow them to play outside. Dogs roam in groups and chase people daily. Despite repeated grievances, authorities have taken no action," a resident claimed.
"People are in constant fear. The UT government must act urgently," another local claimed.
