Jammu, July 20 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar Jul 20 (KNS) : In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, police have frozen a Maruti Baleno car valued at around ?4.30 lakh, allegedly purchased with proceeds from illicit drug trade in Kashmir. The vehicle, bearing registration number JK01AL-5957, belongs to accused Owais Ahmad Bhat Son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Panzinara, Srinagar. It was seized during the investigation of FIR No. 35/2026 registered under Sections 8/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Shalteng. According to police, the car was acquired using money earned from drug trafficking.
