Srinagar Police destroys wild cannabis plants during anti-drug drive
Jammu, June 10 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, June 10 (KNS): Srinagar Police carried out a drive to destroy wild cannabis plants at several locations across the city as part of the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan". Police said the drive was conducted in areas including Lal Nagar, Jhelum Bund, National Highway, Maloora, Mujgund and SP College Bund. During the operation, police teams identified and destroyed wild cannabis growth to prevent its misuse for narcotic purposes and curb drug abuse. The action forms part of the police's efforts to eliminate illegal narcotic substances and spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, particularly among youth.
