Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Wednesday said that the Storm Water Drainage Scheme at Tawheedabad, Humhama is progressing at a steady and accelerated pace to address the area's longstanding drainage issues.
In an official statement, the SMC rebutted a news item published in a local English daily on 12th August 2025 regarding the drainage work, terming it "baseless and without merit."
According to the SMC, around 80% of the drainage works within the colonies have been completed, including the construction and installation of the wet well sump and screen chamber.
