Srinagar, Aug. 28 -- The Directorate of School Education Jammu on Thursday ordered the closure of all government and private schools across Jammu division till August 30 in view of continuous heavy rains and rising flood threat.
According to the order, heavy rainfall has caused waterlogging in school premises, flooding in low-lying areas, landslide risks, and damage to roads, making physical attendance unsafe. Parents and civil society members had also requested closure to ensure student safety.
