School theft sparks student protest in Baramulla Village

A theft at a government school in north Kashmir's Baramulla district triggered protests by students on Friday, with demonstrators blocking the Pattan-Kunzer road and demanding immediate restoration of stolen facilities.
Officials said robbers struck Government High School Chukar in Kunzer zone of Nihalpora during Wednesday night and also targeted a nearby Panchayat Ghar, stealing equipment worth lakhs of rupees.
According to reports, the stolen items from the school included solar batteries, desktop computers, CCTV cameras, storage devices, electricity wires, boards, a water motor, wash basins, matting and Mid-Day Meal supplies.
