Srinagar, June 3 -- J&K Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone on Wednesday tore into the National Conference government, dismissing Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's much-hyped "bombshell" announcement as a spectacular anti-climax that has left the people of Jammu & Kashmir deeply underwhelmed.

Lone revealed that approximately 48 MLAs and senior party leaders had gathered in a wildlife zone, an assembly he quipped had likely "scared the indigenous inhabitants", only to emerge with what he described as the most uninspiring political outcome imaginable: a protest sit-in at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
