Srinagar, July 3 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience a shift in weather conditions starting July 5, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting intermittent rainfall over the next few days.
The forecast is particularly relevant for areas along the Amarnath Yatra route, where the first group of pilgrims began their journey from both Baltal and Pahalgam base camps this morning.
Dr. Mukhtiar Ahmad, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Srinagar, said the weather across J&K, including the Yatra axis, is expected to remain hot and humid until July 5.
