Srinagar, April 15 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone V K Birdi said on Wednesday that in a move to dismantle the narco-terror network, police will expedite the attachment of properties acquired from drug proceeds and intensify night patrolling across the valley.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the IGP directed district Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to focus on strengthening the conviction rate in cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and terror offences during a crime review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir.
