Budgam, Oct. 26 -- In a significant step toward strengthening forest conservation and eco-restoration efforts in Jammu and Kashmir, S.K. Gupta, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force (PCCF/HoFF), reviewed ongoing developmental works under the Special Project Tosamaidan (CAMPA) during a field visit to the Pir Panjal Forest Division on Sunday.
During the visit, Gupta conducted a detailed inspection of afforestation and conservation activities. Officials informed that 207 hectares of degraded forest area have been rehabilitated through the plantation of over 1.5 lakh conifer and broad-leaved saplings under the project.
