Srinagar, Sept. 22 -- Between 11 and 21 September 2025, the Indian Railways dispatched 19 apple trains from the stations of Budgam, Anantnag, and Baramulla, carrying a total of 5,42,699 boxes of apples to markets in Delhi, Jammu, and other destinations, officials said.

The special services are part of efforts to ensure smooth movement of Kashmir's horticultural produce during the peak harvest season.

Railway officials said the bulk of the consignments originated from Anantnag station, which accounted for 4,30,013 boxes loaded across ten trains. The station also recorded a single-day high on 20 September, when 91,662 boxes were dispatched in one day.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
