Jammu, May 14 -- The Northern Railway's Jammu Division will kick off a 23-day special environment protection campaign from May 15 to June 5, 2026, to mark World Environment Day, a senior official said on Thursday.

The campaign, themed "Climate Change", will be conducted under the Centre's 'Mission LiFE' (Lifestyle For Environment) and aims to raise public awareness on climate change and promote environmental conservation, said Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vivek Kumar.

He added that a series of activities will be organised across railway stations, offices, colonies and other premises in the division. These include tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, plastic-free premises initiatives, 'Say No to Single-Use Plastic' awarenes...
